The Oregon IEEE Consultants' Network (ORCNET) meets regularly on the fourth Thursday of each month. Details of our next meeting are below.

WHAT
Low-Cost Rapid Prototyping
This month we are fortunate to welcome Mr. Pat Nystrom as our speaker. Mr. Nystrom is the president of an Oregon-based company that offers low-cost Rapid Prototyping Services. Many manufacturers now offer Rapid Prototyping equipment, which can be used to isolate and identify potential design problems earlier in a development cycle, saving both time and money. Mr. Nystrom will discuss the advantages of low-cost Rapid Prototyping technology and show us sample items created with his equipment. 

WHO
Since 1983 Mr. Nystrom has designed and built a wide range of products, from a state-of-the-art pyrometer (used by NIST to calibrate other instruments), to a telephone system with biometric user identification (used in high-security facilities).

The ORCNET meets at the Beaverton International House of Pancakes (IHOP), located at the intersection of SW 158th & Walker Rd, across Walker Rd. from Fred Meyers.

ORCNET MAILING LISTS
Our valiant webmaster recently revised our mailing lists for improved usefulness and maintainability.
We offer three lists: 
    - one for members-only,
    - another for a general public discussion forum, and 
    - a third for our (infrequent) public announcements such as this one.
