[Orcnet] eeconsult domain name renewal

Folks:
For a while now, I have been hosting and paying for the eeconsult.org
site. It isn't much of a load on my server (which costs me $27/month),
but the DNS and Domain Registration are Orcnet-specific costs. I am
paying Dyndns $30/year for DNS, and $15/year for Domain Registration,
for both eeconsult.org and orcnet.org .
I'm thinking of changing this. Though there are cheaper domain
registrars, I would like to keep using DynDNS for Domain Registration
for now. However, I can move DNS to my server provider (rimuhosting.com)
and save some money. The downside is if I have to change service
providers in a hurry; our website might go offline for a few days,
since the DNS changeover might be slow.
So far, I haven't been charging Orcnet, but income is getting tight,
and I may need to shift some expenses. So, assuming that I move the
DNS ( saving $60/year ), the remaining expenses are, say, 10% of my
server ( about $30/year ) and Domain Reg ( $30/year for both ).
If Orcnet members feel OK with this, I will move the DNS
to Rimuhosting when it expires at Dyndns, and I will bill
Orcnet $60 at the beginning of each year for the other.
If Rimuhosting remains the reliable and responsive hosting
service they have been so far, we are not risking much.
BTW, Rimuhosting is a New Zealand company, and has sites in Dallas,
London, and Brisbane. My "server" is a Xen virtual machine in Dallas,
and is backed up around the globe. If Dallas goes off the grid, I
have nightly backups, and Rimuhosting will restart my server image
at one of their other sites. We are in good shape, unless they go
out of business or the Sun goes nova ...
