The Oregon IEEE Consultants' Network (ORCNET) meets regularly on the fourth Thursday of each month.

Details of our next meeting ( Tomorrow evening! ) are below.

REMINDER!
It's time to consider who (whom?) should lead our group in the coming year. 
As noted earlier, we will accept nominations for ORCNET FY2009 Board positions at this meeting.

We like to make things easy for our members, so bear in mind that
your absence might be interpreted as a desire to be nominated!     

OCTOBER ORCNET MEETING
This will be an informal gathering and business meeting, with no formal presentation (unless YOU bring something for Show and Tell! ).
The business discussion will be interesting! See below.

WHEN
Thursday, October 23, 2008, 6:00 PM to chat & eat, meeting begins at 7:00 PM (approx.).

WHERE
The ORCNET meets at the Beaverton International House of Pancakes (IHOP), located at the intersection of SW 158th & Walker Rd, across Walker Rd. from Fred Meyers.

The IHOP's seating capacity is approximately 35 folks, so come early! Just ask for the Oregon IEEE Consultants' Network meeting, or the ORCNET meeting. (John is expecting us.)

ORCNET MAILING LISTS
Our valiant webmaster recently revised our mailing lists for improved usefulness and maintainability.
We offer three lists: 
    - one for members-only,
    - another for a general public discussion forum, and 
    - a third for our (infrequent) public announcements such as this one.

Both public lists allow recipients to opt in or out, at their discretion. These new lists were 
officially adopted on Jan 1, 2008.
